You may notice that this strip looks a little different. Well, okay, you probably won’t notice. The original art for this one has been lost, so I had to scan a photocopy of the newspaper printing of this one. these were printed at half the size of the original art, and always in blotchy newspaper quality. I resisted the urge to retouch this to death and just left the newspaper texture in place. After sizing it down for the web the difference is not that noticeable anyway. Besides, I’m sure someone will say they like this look better. That always happens. I think that’s an important thing for all types of artists to keep in mind when they get tempted to painstakingly rework their art to match what they envision in their heads.

Actually, I noticed that it looked different and I do like the original art better.
